but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
The Tree of Knowledge and the eating of its fruit represents the beginning of the mixture of good and evil together. Before that time, the two were separate, and evil had only a nebulous existence in potential. While free choice did exist before eating the fruit, evil existed as an entity separate from the human psyche, and it was not in human nature to desire it. Eating and internalizing the forbidden fruit changed this and thus was born the yetzer hara, the evil inclination.
Eating from the “tree of knowledge” is also metaphor representing our research and discovery of the world that God has created. In other words, scientific research and discovery are equal to eating from the tree of knowledge. We will die if we continue on this path.
We have been eating from the tree of the knowledge since creation and until today we never stopped increasing our understanding. Now we know how birds can fly, how plants grow, how our solar system works, ….etc. We copied some God’s creation and made airplanes, green house for plants. We even used Genetic Engineering to alter the properties of our food (i.e. fruits and vegetables) not knowing the consequences. Is God creation not good enough for us? God, creator of heaven and earth, also created us and our food.
Hungry for knowledge!

We are hungry for knowledge. We want to know everything and have endless questions. We want to know how big the universe is, how it was created, and now we even want to find out how life was created. From the 8 billions people living on earth, did anyone pause for a second and ask them selves the following questions:
-why for God’s sake do we want to know all these things?
-What does it do for us if we find the answer?
-Why are we so eager to change or modify God’s creation?
It was the devil who told Adam and Eve that it was OK to eat from the tree of knowledge (Genesis 3:4 “You will not certainly die,”). Until today we are listing to the devil because we never stopped eating from the tree of knowledge. Lucifer is using us and is trying to exalt himself above God.
Isaiah 14:12-15 “For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;”
People on earth should wake up, stop listing to the devil and turn back to God. Reading Albert Einstein quotes shows that he regrets starting the scientific research but once we gain the knowledge, we cannot reverse it. Like the knowledge of making atomic bomb cannot be erased. Albert Einstein quote: “If I had my life to live over again, I’d be a plumber.” Albert Einstein quote: “The release of atom power has changed everything except our way of thinking… the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind. If only I had known, I should have become a watchmaker.”
